Applications of Automated Thermometric Titrimetry in Routine Process and Quality Control of Fats and Oils
01 Feb 2010: Two determinations common in the analysis of fats and oils illustrate the versatility of the technique, namely the free fatty acid (FFA) content and the iodine value (IV). In both analyses, excellent agreement has been demonstrated with results obtained by official methods of analysis. The titrations are very fast, typically less than a minute in duration, and can be conducted using an automatic sample changer.

The New 851 and 852 Titrando – Straightforward Determination of Water Content and Bromine Index
 18 Aug 2009: Metrohm announce the new 851 Titrando and 852 Titrando coulometers. Both instruments can determine the water content coulometrically; with the 852 Titrando it can also be determined volumetrically. As a new feature, both instruments can also determine the bromine index. Another new feature exclusively offered in the new Titrando coulometers is the auto-start function.
